Ret-hot rookie, Jaron "Boots" Ennis, made his local debut Saturday night at the Sheet Metal Workers Hall. Ennis, 18, pushed his two-week old career to the 2-0 mark with a 23-second technical knockout over Luis Ramos (0-2). After a quick switch to the southpaw stance, Ennis crushed Ramos with a sudden right hook that floored the visiting Puerto Rican. The referee stopped the fight immediately, and the crackling punch reportedly broke Ramos' nose. Ennis looked impressive, as he did in his pro debut on April 30 against Cory Muldrew (1-10). Ennis also won that fight in the first round. Jaron returns to the ring on June 3rd at the 2300 Arena on the DeCarlo Perez vs. Dashon Johnson undercard. |
