SHANNEL BUTLER W8 DEBORA ANAHI DIONICIUS (Unanimous)
Co-Feature WBA Continental Americas Featherweight Title Bout -

Philly southpaw Butler maintained a composed
approach while Dionicius, Villaguay, Argentina, alternated between
rushing in and using the ropes to turn out of pressure. Butler’s
corner asked for more pressure in round four, but she kept working
behind a tight defense and effective counters. Dionicius struggled
to break through, and Butler scored consistently on the way to a
unanimous decision win and her first title belt. Judges DEwey
LaRosa and Steve Weisfeld scored the fight 79-73, while Marcel

ELLIS W6 COLBY MADISON (Majority)
Heavyweight
Bout - 6 Rounds
In a return match after their six-round draw
in January, Madison scored a knockdown in round two with a left
hand. The fighters exchanged frequently in round three as Ellis’
corner pushed for urgency. Ellis, of Philadelphia, came
forward hard in round four and swung momentum his way, drawing
strong reactions from the crowd. After a close contest, Ellis won by
majority decision and received the honorary King’s Promotions
Heavyweight Belt. A third meeting would be justified based on the
competitiveness of the first two fights. Judge Marcel Varela
scored the fight for Madison (57-55), but was over-ruled by Steve
Weisfeld (57-55) and Dewey LaRosa (58-54) who both favored Ellis.
Ellis remained unbeaten (8-0-1, 3 KOs), while Madison, of Baltimore,
dropped to 11-10-3, 7 KOs. The referee was Shawn Clark.

the pace, but it was not enough to win the bout. However, this
was the most challenging fight Patricio has had recently. She fought
a disciplined bout, made the needed adjustments, and earned a
unanimous decision against a capable opponent. Two of the hree
